Documented in your report
If we find activity, we write it up in the report and walk you through your treatment options. Once treatment is done, we can issue a clearance letter.
Buying, selling or refinancing? We write the North Carolina wood-destroying insect report your lender needs, and if we find termites, we can treat them too.

A wood-destroying insect report, often called a WDI report, WDIIR or termite letter, tells buyers and lenders whether a home shows signs of termites or other wood-destroying insects. Many lenders require one before closing, and VA loans always do.
Because we’re a licensed pest control company (N.C. Pest Control Lic. #1495PW) as well as home inspectors, we can write the report, explain what we found and treat the problem if there is one. Booked with a home inspection, the report is $30 off.
Our licensed inspectors look for termites, carpenter ants, wood-boring beetles and other wood-destroying insects, plus the damage they leave behind and the conditions that invite them.

Book it online with your home inspection and save $30, or call and we’ll get it on the schedule.

A licensed inspector checks the crawl space, foundation, exterior wood and other accessible areas for insects, damage and the conditions that invite them.
We send you the report and work with your lender or agent to get them the documentation they need.

Wood-destroying insect reports are a flat rate, and they’re discounted when you schedule one with a home inspection.
If we find activity, we write it up in the report and walk you through your treatment options. Once treatment is done, we can issue a clearance letter.
In-ground bait stations around the home. Termites carry the bait back to the colony, and it dies off over time, usually with no drilling or trenching.
A targeted liquid treatment with Termidor where termites are already active. It’s localized and keeps disruption to a minimum.
“They provide readings of moisture and temperature, and they photograph everything— even from above with the help of a drone. I would definitely hire them again.”
“Advanced Termite and Pest Control recently completed an inspection for us and Zach was super professional, showed up on time and got to work, and was also super friendly. He made us really comfortable and we were very pleased and would definitely call on Advanced again!”

“I’ve used this pest control company for almost 20 years now and they are always prompt, have excellent communication, are careful around the house, are knowledgeable, give good advice when it comes to keeping critters on the outside of your home and have great people skills.”

A wood-destroying insect report records whether a home shows signs of active infestation, past damage or conditions that invite termites and other wood-destroying insects. You’ll also hear it called a WDIIR, a termite letter or a clearance letter. Lenders and real estate agents use it during a sale or refinance.
Many lenders require one, and VA loans always do, so check with your lender or agent. We provide the North Carolina WDIIR that VA lenders ask for, and we can bundle it with your home inspection for $30 off.
Lenders usually want the inspection done close to closing, often within 30 days, but your loan type sets the window. Check with your lender before you schedule.
A WDI report is $125 for homes under 3,000 square feet and $150 for larger homes, plus $50 for buildings besides the main residence. It’s $30 off when you book it with a home inspection, and sellers get one at no extra charge with a pre-listing inspection. See all inspection pricing.
For homeowners who want to know whether they have termites, yes, our termite inspections are free. A WDI report for a sale or a loan is a separate written report, priced above. Learn more about termite control.
We document what we find in the report and walk you through your treatment options, like the Trelona baiting system or a Termidor treatment. Once treatment is complete, we can issue a clearance letter.
Booked with a home inspection, we travel a large part of Eastern North Carolina. WDI reports without a home inspection are limited to Craven, Lenoir and Pitt counties.
Call or fill out the form and we’ll get your report on the schedule. You can also book it online with your home inspection.
